The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan reported on the resumption of Tamchi-Tashkent air traffic.
According to the diplomatic mission, together with Uzbekistan Airlines, flights on this route in the summer season are planned to open. According to the agreements, the first flight Tashkent-Tamchi-Tashkent will be made on June 27, 2019 and planes will fly this route every Thursday until September 6. Earlier it was reported that before the opening of the air service, they will conduct an orientation flight for the journalists of the two countries. Flights along the route Tashkent-Tamchi were made in 2018 in the summer, but because there were few passengers, the flights did not pay off, and therefore in mid-July it was decided to close them. It was noted that the opening of the air route on the route Tashkent-Tamchi contributes to attracting tourists from Uzbekistan to Lake Issyk-Kul.
