"Support for the agricultural sector will contribute directly to regional development.",Said the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Muhammedkaly Abylgaziev, during a tour at the greenhouse complex in the village of Aravan district, Osh region.
- Abylgaziev added that the more financial support given to farmers by the government, faster the development will be, the government is looking for resources to increase loan support to farmers and firms operating in the field of Agriculture.
According to him, 5 billion soms, received under the Strategic Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and Canadian based Centerra Gold Inc., will be used to support the regions and launch new agricultural facilities. This will ensure an increase in the incomes of farmers, the creation of additional jobs and the strengthening of the economic situation of the agriculture sector.
The head of government instructed the Ministry of Agriculture to develop an updated project for the development of greenhouses and, together with local governments, to negotiate with business representatives to implement specific projects.
