TIKA donated 400 boxes of food and disinfectants to the red Crescent Society of the Kyrgyz Republic
The Turkish Agency for cooperation and coordination (TIKA) provided food aid to needy residents of Kyrgyzstan.

The TIKA coordination office in Bishkek handed over 400 boxes of food to the Kyrgyz red Crescent Society. The boxes included macaroni, sunflower oil, rice, tomato paste, milk powder, tea and sugar.
The Agency also provided employees and volunteers of the Kyrgystan’s Red Crescent with protective overalls, glasses, gloves and disinfectants.
Chingiz Dzhakipov, Vice-President of the Kyrgyz Red Crescent, thanked the Turkish people and TIKA for their support.
In turn, TIKA program coordinator Ali Muslu noted the importance of providing assistance to friendly and fraternal countries to combat the new type of coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19).
"TIKA aids those in need in the fight against coronavirus. Kyrgyzstan has imposed a state of emergency and a curfew. In this regard, the Agency has transferred humanitarian aid to the Red Crescent of Kyrgyzstan," Muslu said.
The number of people infected with coronavirus infection in Kyrgyzstan has increased to 419, and the number of deaths has increased to 5. At the same time, 67 people recovered from Covid-19.
