Bishkek, Dec. 3, 2021. / Kabar /. Stockholm (Sweden) hosted on Thursday a meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

The meeting of Kazakbaev and Çavuşoğlu took place on the margins of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting. The ministers exchanged views on topical issues of bilateral cooperation in political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as issues of implementation of the outcome of bilateral meeting of Kyrgyz and Turkish leaders in Istanbul on Nov. 12, 2021.

Particular emphasis was placed on the activation of priority areas of cooperation, as well as the adoption of measures to strengthen and develop the Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation. Ruslan Kazakbaev noted the importance of full implementation of previously reached agreements.

The ministers discussed interaction within the OSCE and the UN, as well as mutual support for candidates in elected bodies of the Organization of Turkic States, including such an important organization as TURKSOY.

In light of the upcoming 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, the sides also considered the schedule of upcoming events and discussed planned visits and meetings at high and the highest levels.
