It is planned to launch buses and electric buses in Bishkek and Osh, which were completely made in Kyrgyzstan under their own brand "Beles.KG". General Director of the company Mirbek Askaliev told Economist.kg about this.

The plant has been in existence since 2012, previously it produced trolleybuses and diesel-fueled buses. It is noted that technically the company is already ready to supply domestic transport. There are plans to fulfill an order for the Bishkek or Osh city administration, but it has not yet been announced exactly in which city electric buses will appear first.

"There were negotiations with the Bishkek city administration on the purchase of buses. Now we are waiting for an answer about the quantity, it is expected that the order will be for 10 buses. Regarding the cities of Osh and Jalal-Abad, the supply of electric buses was discussed there," the head of the company explained.

The brand of the BELES electric bus, the model is called UMUT e12. According to the technical characteristics, an electric bus on a single battery charge can travel 250 km in summer and 230 km in winter.

It is noted that electric buses will be produced entirely in Kyrgyzstan, without the participation of foreign brands under their own brand "Beles". The design for domestic transport was developed by Kyrgyz designer Oleg Ermakov (Steel Drake).
