As a part of the 12th Ministerial Conference, Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev met with Minister of Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (IRP) Navid Kamar to discuss topical issues within the framework of multilateral and bilateral cooperation. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the Head of Commerce of Pakistan noted the possibility of using the Kyrgyz Republic's transit ports of the IRP to enter world markets. In this connection, he proposed to sign a bilateral transit agreement with the Kyrgyz Republic for the exit of goods through the ports of the IRP and the exit of goods from Pakistan through the territory of Kyrgyzstan to the countries of the Eurasian continent.

Daniyar Amangeldiev, in turn, informed about the ongoing work on the China—Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway network construction project.

"The bigger the market, the more attractive it will be for other countries. Our task is to unite our markets. We are interested in considering an agreement to use mutual transit potentials," the minister said.

It was also noted that the Kyrgyz Republic is interested in the supply of textile and agricultural products, the creation of joint ventures, in mechanical engineering, taking into account the potential of Pakistan in this sector.

The parties agreed to start work to create a working group on the development of trade and economic cooperation, within which the issues raised during the meeting will be discussed in detail.
