Representatives of tour operators and media from India came to Kyrgyzstan to get acquainted with the tourist potential of the country.

The Indians are not only interested in the Kyrgyz nature. The largest inflow of tourists to Kyrgyzstan is traditionally in summer, but the Indian side is interested in all seasons, including winter and autumn tours, director of the Indian travel company Salvia Promoters Pvt Ltd Prashant Chaudhary said.

"Our tourists are interested not only in Kyrgyz nature, but also in the history of Kyrgyzstan. It is interesting to hold celebrations in your country and even play weddings. We want to increase the number of flights between our countries to four a week.

We expect the number of tourists from India to increase to 50 million in the coming years. Even five percent of that number could be a significant increase for Kyrgyzstan's tourism sector," he said.

Chaudhary added that the Indian delegation was pleasantly surprised by Kyrgyz hospitality and the beauty of nature. He said that some Indian filmmakers are already shooting films in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan and will continue to do so in the future.
