In the first six months, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan amounted to $568 million. Compared to the same period last year, the increase was almost 24%. This became known at the second meeting of the working group on trade and economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As noted in the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

"The presidents of the two countries set a task to increase the level of trade turnover between the countries to $2 billion. This task is also indicated in the protocol of the 10th meeting of the intergovernmental council and in the joint statement of the heads of State. We have something to strive for," First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliyev said.

Following the meeting, the minutes of the 2nd meeting of the working group on trade and economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan, a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan on intentions to organize the supply of fruit and vegetable products were signed.
