"The Kyrgyz Republic attaches great importance to the development of interstate relations between our countries and considers Azerbaijan as a reliable friend and partner," President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov said speaking at the First meeting of the Interstate Council between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan in an expanded format.
He stressed with deep satisfaction that the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani cooperation is developing dynamically; there are no political contradictions between our countries.
"We are aimed at strengthening the political dialogue, establishing and developing closer economic ties, including joint implementation of major investment projects, active interaction on international platforms, as well as further building up cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
New promising opportunities are opening up in the areas of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as there is full mutual understanding and closeness of positions on a number of topical international and regional issues, including issues of peace, security, combating new challenges and threats," he said.
Sadyr Zhaparov expressed confidence that through joint efforts both sides will ensure further expansion of constructive cooperation within the framework of international organizations and regional associations.
"There is no doubt that the friendly ties and fraternal relations between our countries, based on centuries-old history, common traditions, language and cultural and spiritual heritage have all the prerequisites for further development and deepening.
I am convinced that the documents signed today will contribute to the further expansion and strengthening of cooperation between our countries," Sadyr Zhaparov concluded.
