The Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan became a member of the established Council of Banking Associations of the Turkic states. The signing ceremony of the agreement on the establishment of the Council and multilateral cooperation took place on November 4 in Istanbul, the press service of the Union of Banks of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

The Council of Banking Associations of the Turkic States was established with the support of the Association of Banks of Turkey (TBB). The new organization includes banking associations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, which are members of the Organization of Turkish States.

The newly formed council will develop cooperation between the Turkic countries on issues such as the development of digital banking, the fight against climate and environmental risks, the development of payment ecosystems and many others.

"Such cooperation contributes to economic development and social prosperity, as well as for further close and coordinated interaction of banking associations of the Turkic states," the Union of Banks of the Kyrgyz Republic said in a statement.
