The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Yasin Ekrem Serim, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

During the meeting, the diplomats discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including plans to organize mutual visits at the highest levels in 2023, as well as strengthening cooperation between countries within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, the United Nations and other international platforms.

Ruslan Kazakbaev noted the importance for the Kyrgyz side of the early resumption of the implementation of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Health and Medical Sciences, which provides for the annual free treatment of 150 citizens of Kyrgyzstan in medical institutions in Turkey, and also expressed a request to expand the quota to 500 people per year.

The parties discussed issues of mutual trips of citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, simplification of the conditions of stay and extension of the visa-free regime for citizens of the two states.

The issues of developing and deepening bilateral trade and economic relations, increasing mutual trade turnover between the countries, including through the organization of business forums, as well as resolving issues related to the entrepreneurial activities of Turkish companies in Kyrgyzstan were discussed.
