The Committee on International Affairs, Defense and Security considered in three readings the draft law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Azerbaijan on the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund, signed on October 11, 2022 in Bishkek."
The bill was presented by Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Kanatbek Abdrakhmanov. As he explained, the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund will be established in order to promote economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, modernization and development of industry, effective use and enhancement of economic bilateral cooperation.
He noted that the contribution to the authorized capital of the Fund by the Azerbaijani side will amount to 25 million US dollars.
