A large textile enterprise will be opened in the Nookat district of Jalal-Abad region. The investment will amount to $16 million. This was reported on March 9 in the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

As noted, following the agreements reached between the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in early 2023, an agreement was signed on cooperation to create textile production in the Jalal-Abad region.

The construction of a textile enterprise corresponding to the level of the Uzbek Fazman Textile will be financed by the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund.

The textile factory of Uzbekistan Fazman Textile, which opened at the end of 2022, can produce up to 1 million units of finished products per year: men's, women's and children's suits. The volume of exports is estimated at $15 million annually.
