Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkey Ruslan Kazakbayev held a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. The parties discussed attracting Turkish investments to Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported on March 9.

The diplomats talked about the development and deepening of bilateral trade and economic relations through the establishment of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Investment Development Fund. In addition, Kazakbayev conveyed his condolences to the fraternal Turkish people in connection with the numerous human casualties as a result of the devastating earthquakes that occurred in Turkey on February 6.

Cavusoglu expressed gratitude to Bishkek for the assistance provided in such a difficult time for the Turkish people. It was noted that this gesture opened a new page in Kyrgyz-Turkish relations.

At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors agreed on regular further contacts for the exchange of views on all issues of the bilateral and multilateral agenda of relations.
