President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov in his interview to Kabar told about the first kidney transplant performed at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Hospital in Bishkek.

“This is the first time such an event has happened in the history of our country. We asked fraternal Turkiye to give us 140 doctors to train our specialists for 2-3 years of transplantation of internal organs. We created all the necessary conditions for them. They agreed and the work began. Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my gratitude on behalf of all Kyrgyzstanis to Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkish doctors.

In our country, approximately more than 3 thousand people have to receive hemodialysis. The state annually allocates 3 billion soms for them. If we solve these problems, then the state will annually save these 3 billion soms. A number of social problems can be solved for this money. First of all, we will be able to resolve issues related to healthcare, which is now worrying every our citizen. If before that such an operation was carried out exclusively abroad and cost about 60-70 thousand dollars, now such an operation can be performed here and the cost will be about 10 thousand dollars.

This center has a great future. This is the first institution of its kind in Central Asia, opened in our country. In the future, it is planned to carry out operations on the heart and liver. Now we are considering options for expanding the building so that we can receive patients from neighboring countries too. Most likely, we will build an additional building,” he said.

Earlier, on August 30, President Sadyr Zhaparov visited the Hospital of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship in Bishkek, where a successful operation on transplantation of internal organs was performed for the first time.
