The Kyrgyz-Turkish business forum was held on February 9 in Ankara, which was attended by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, President of Association of Chambers and Exchanges of Turkiye Rifat Hisarcikoglu and official from both countries.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, one of the main goals of this meeting was to create opportunities for businessmen of both countries, attract investment to Kyrgyzstan and unimpeded export of domestic goods.
To support the improvement of the trade sector at the state level, a number of industries that managed to conclude successful contracts were named.
The Republic of Turkey expressed confidence in the representation of the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Turkey and signed a contract to export 400 tons of walnuts from the Kyrgyz Republic. According to the concluded agreement, the first batch of walnuts will be exported from Kyrgyzstan to Turkey on February 15.
