Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkiye Ruslan Kazakbaev met with representatives of Turkish companies interested in doing business in Kyrgyzstan as part of his working visit to Konya, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said on March 26.

The companies are members of the Chamber of Commerce of Konya, where the meeting was held. During the event, the Ambassador highlighted the main efforts taken by the Kyrgyz leadership to protect investments and support business.

He emphasized the favorable tax policy and stable growth of the national economy of the Kyrgyz Republic over the past three years. The Ambassador also noted the increase in trade between the countries and Kyrgyzstan's interest in expanding cooperation with the Konya province. According to the Foreign Ministry, the Kyrgyz side paid special attention to priority areas for investment, such as agriculture, livestock, hydropower, tourism and mining.

Representatives of Turkish companies expressed interest in importing leather, developing renewable energy in Kyrgyzstan and mining.  Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a trip to the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as a business forum "Kyrgyzstan-Konya".
