Turkish company Akplas Plastik San. Ve Tic. A.S. will begin construction of a plant in Kyrgyzstan to produce equipment for drip and sprinkler irrigation this summer. This information was reported in the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

At the first stage after the investment agreement, the company will invest $10 million in the construction of the plant. It is expected that the construction works will be completed and the plant will be launched within eight months. The plant will require 10 hectares of land.

Agriculture Minister Bakyt Torobayev said the drip irrigation system will be implemented in all districts of the country. In case of successful realization of this project, it will be given the status of national.

In turn, the head of the company Husein Akin said that with the support of the state, the company will show results in the short term, and also noted plans to provide training for farmers.
