The Chairman of the Kyrgyz Republic's Cabinet, Akylbek Zhaparov, extended an invitation to President Serdar Berdimuhamedow of Turkmenistan to maximize the opportunities presented by the countries' trade, economic, and investment relations, as the Cabinet of Ministers' press release.

Akylbek Zhaparov, engaged in discussions with the esteemed President Berdimuhamedow on May 24, within the confines of the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS countries, hosted graciously in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.

 “In 2023, trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $63.6 mn. At the same time, there is significant untapped trade, economic and investment potential of Kyrgyz-Turkmen relations. I consider it necessary to further increase the volumes and expand the range of mutual supplies, to look for opportunities for joint entry into the markets of third countries,” said Zhaparov.

In resonance with Zhaparov's vision, President Berdimuhamedow reaffirmed Turkmenistan's commitment to fostering mutually beneficial cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
