The Minister Taalaibek Ibraev got acquainted with the construction of the plant with a capacity of 500 tons per day of Kyrgyz-Turk K-NeftGas OJSC in Kok-Talaa village, Kadamdzhai district of Batken region, which is being carried out as part of a project for the joint development of North Sokh and Chongara Galcha oil fields.

The total amount of investments is 91 million dollars. The total number of employees is 51 people (including 10 Turkish specialists and 41 Kyrgyz citizens). Since October, 150 jobs will be created.

An agreement on joint implementation activities was signed between Kyrgyztransneftegaz State Enterprise and Kyrgyz-Turk K-NeftGaz OJSC (Turkey) on March 23, 2023 in order to implement the project on the joint development of Tunduk Sokh and Chongara Galcha oil fields.

More than 90 percent of construction work has been completed to date. Repair and preparatory work is underway at four oil wells. Estimated completion and commissioning of the refinery is scheduled for the end of September 2024.
