The Center for Drug Research has opened in Tashkent.
Bai Chunli, head of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said the research center opened on 23 November would be an important platform for scientific and educational cooperation. He also added that the center will play a positive role in resource sharing, researching and developing sustainable flora of medicines in Central Asia and training of scientific staff.
Chunli said that the center should become a pillar for stimulating China’s scientific and technical cooperation with countries along the Silk Road, and contribute to the sustainable social and economic development of the countries. The Charge d'Affairs of China to Uzbekistan Zhang Wenchuan said that if the center focuses on the great work of the joint construction of "One Belt One Road", it will continuously improve the technical level, and expand the impact of the creation of high-quality platform for international science and technology cooperation.
In addition, as part of the event, opened the Central Asian scientific and educational base of the University of the Academy of Sciences of China in Tashkent.
