According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the first meeting of the foreign ministers of the India-Central Asia Dialogue is scheduled for January 12-13 in Samarkand with the participation of the head of the Afghan foreign ministry, Salahuddin Rabbani.

Foreign ministers of India (Sushma Svaraj), Kyrgyzstan (Chingiz Aidarbekov), Tajikistan (Sirojiddin Muhriddin), Turkmenistan (Rashid Meredov), Uzbekistan (Abdulaziz Kamilov), First Deputy Minister of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi will also arrive at the event.

The parties intend to talk about promising areas of cooperation in promoting mutual trade, developing transport and logistics, and attracting investment. They will also discuss innovations and technologies in key sectors of industry, energy, information technology, medicine, pharmaceuticals, agriculture and address issues of interaction in the fields of culture, science, education and tourism.
