Turkey, which established 364 companies in Uzbekistan in 2018, became the 2nd among the countries that set up most companies with foreign capital after Russia. In the statement made by the State Statistical Committee of Uzbekistan, information was provided about enterprises established with foreign capital in the country in 2018.

Accordingly, in 2017, 863 enterprises with foreign capital were established in the country, and this figure increased by 37 percent last year and reached the number of 2 385. Thus, as of January 1, the total number of foreign capital companies in the country reached 7,605.

According to the results of 2018, Russia was the first in Uzbekistan with 428 companies, while Turkey established 364 companies ranked second in this ranking. In this period, 351 companies were established with Chinese capital and 246 companies with Kazakh capital and 161 companies with South Korean capital.

In 2018, Afghanistan, India, Germany, Ukraine and Azerbaijan were among the other countries that set up the most companies.

While most foreign capital companies were established in Tashkent, Samarkand and Harezm regions of the country,  foreign capital companies established in the country invested most in the industry, trade, construction and construction materials sectors.
