Uzbekistan and Turkey intend to cooperate on the development of the multimodal transportation from China via Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Eurasian Development Bank, which the Tazabek.kg news site cites, between Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Turkey State Railways cooperation agreement was signed in the field of transportation. At the meeting between Central Asian Trans company executives of Uzbekistan and TCDD, it was focused on the development of multimodal transport through Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan-China route.

During the meeting held between the parties, the importance of the facilities in the development of the international transportation system was highlighted and underlined that this sector has a great importance in the development of the economies of the states.
