An Uzbek-Japanese business forum was held in Tokyo, in which representatives of Uzavtosanoat JSC participated along with more than 500 Japanese companies and organizations.
Japanese Isuzu Motors and Itochu Corporation will invest $ 15 million in the development of the Samarkand Automobile sector, a Podrobno.uz correspondent reports.
Confederation of the Samarkand Automobile Plant with Japanese companies Isuzu Motors and Itochu Corporation began in 2007. This year, mass production of trucks and buses based on the Isuzu chassis and power units began. This partnership allowed the plant to significantly increase production.
As part of the Business Forum, Samarkand car factory attracted $ 15 million investment from its Japanese partners to implement another project. This investment by Japanese partners is expected to increase the annual production volume of the plant by 5 thousand to 10 thousand units per year (Bus, Truck and Van derivatives) by 2021.
Recall that in January next year, the Samarkand Automobile Plant will begin selling the Isuzu D-Max pickup truck . The price will vary from 270 to 380 million soums. The pick-up capacity is from 865 to 1100 kg.
