As emphasized, the priority in strengthening strategic partnership has been the expansion of mutually beneficial trade-economic cooperation. Over the past two years, its volume has grown 1.5 times. In January-November of this year, the trade turnover amounted to $5.8 billion, which is 14.1% higher than the same period last year. Since the beginning of the year, 130 mutual visits of various delegations of an economic nature have been organized.
"In this context, great importance is attached to the development of ties between the regions of the two countries. The regions of Uzbekistan have established productive relations with 70 constituent entities of Russia," the report says.
The Uzbekistan's delegation was led by First Deputy Foreign Minister Ilhom Nematov and The Russian Federation was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko. The meeting reviewed the progress in the implementation of the agreements reached in the framework of state visits of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Russia in April 2017 and President Vladimir Putin to Uzbekistan in October 2018.
