Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are launching regular bus services on the route "Fergana-Almaty"in order to create additional amenities for passengers traveling from the Ferghana valley to Kazakhstan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of transport of Uzbekistan.

This route will be launched from March 4. The total length of the route is 1202 km, and the journey time is 22 hours and 20 minutes. Buses will start their journey at 11: 00 from the Ferghana bus station. It is reported that tickets can be purchased at the Ferghana bus station and the Sairan bus station in Almaty. This flight will be served by Uz autotrans Service and Tulpar-Baikonur.

There was no bus service between the countries since the mid-90s of the last century. However, in early January of 2018, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan re-launched a direct international bus service on the Tashkent-Shymkent route, and in April – on the Tashkent-Almaty route.

In March 2019, the regular bus service Tashkent-Astana-Tashkent was launched. Last April, a bus service was opened between Turkestan and Samarkand. And since July 22, 2019, Avtotranservice LLC has opened a regular bus service from Tashkent to the city of Kyzylorda in Kazakhstan.
