Uzbekistan and Turkey will continue to develop cooperation in the field of tourism, the Uzbek Telegraph Agency (Uztag) reports.
Representatives of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for tourism development and Uzbek diplomats in Turkey discussed issues of further development of cooperation in the field of tourism with Turkish specialists and tour operators, according to the news agency "Dunyo".

From the Turkish side, the event was also attended by the Chairman of the all-Turkish Association of tourism sector entities (TURSAB) FiruzBaglikaya. Participants shared their experience in the field of making forecast indicators for attracting tourists for the upcoming period, as well as plans to restore the tourism sector in the post-pandemic period.
The parties agreed to continue the dialogue, expand ties and exchange experience in restoring the tourism sector at the first stage through domestic tourism, and at the second stage through regional tourism from neighboring countries.
The sides also touched upon the aspects of possible implementation of Turkey's experience in Uzbekistan on the system of certification of tourist facilities for safety from the epidemic. Other topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism were discussed.
Following the event, an agreement was reached to continue the dialogue and organization in the near future webinar with the participation of representatives from tourism sector of the two countries with the assistance of the Turkish Agency for cooperation and coordination (TIKA) for detailed information exchange and possible synchronization of the standards development process of the system of certification of tourist facilities on the security of the epidemic.
