President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the opening of the Uzbekistan GTL plant. It is planned to process 3.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually and produce 1.5 million tons of liquid fuel worth more than $ 1 billion. CentralAsia.news was informed about this by the press service of the head of state.
The plant will convert natural gas into a highly demanded finished product on the international market, the price of which is 3 times higher. The jet fuel that will be created here is much cleaner and of higher quality compared to the goods of other factories and is designed for the most modern aircraft.
According to the analysis of the International Energy Agency, the creation of GTL products in the world will increase by 2 times by 2030. On the basis of the plant, 6 projects worth $ 620 million will be carried out for the manufacture of products such as alkyl-benzene, butene and hexene, synthetic oils, maleic anhydride, emulsion additives, catalysts, which are widely used in the chemical field, furniture production, building materials, textile and leather industries.
“With the launch of the plant, 1,300 specialists will be provided with a permanent high-paying job. I am particularly pleased that about 80 percent of specialists participated in the construction of the plant,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
