On January 31, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the projects scheduled for implementation in Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

During the presentation, investment and export issues were discussed. According to the plan, in 2022, the capital of Uzbekistan will master investments of $3.8 billion for 738 projects, of which $2 billion will be foreign direct investment.

In total, about 27,000 new jobs will be created this year. The upcoming measures for the formation of investment projects in villages (makhallas) and targets for 5 years were announced. Mirziyoyev noted the broad financial and economic opportunities of Tashkent. Due to additional local projects, each district can additionally attract $ 100 million, he said. It is expected that Tashkent’s exports in 2022 will amount to $1.4 billion, and by 2026 — $2.5 billion. The President instructed to ensure domestic demand, as well as to increase foreign trade by attracting international brands.
