Production of a new crossover Chevrolet Tracker has begun at the UzAuto Motors plant in Asaka, Uzbekistan. According to the automaker, the model is produced according to the method of a full production cycle, i.e. with welding and painting of bodies.
At the first stage, about 80 thousand "Trackers" will be produced in Uzbekistan per year, and it is planned to sell them (the start of sales is scheduled for August 30, 2022 - approx.) in three main trim levels: LS, LT and Premier.
Chevrolet Tracker of the new generation is built on the modular platform Global Emerging Markets (EEM), developed by General Motors together with the Chinese concern SAIC. The Asaka plant has become the third site where its production is localized – previously, the assembly of the Tracker was set up in Brazil and China.
