In order to expand cooperation in the agricultural sector, a delegation of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Turkmenistan headed by Rejep Meredov visited Uzbekistan.

During a week-long visit (on 7-14 January 2023), the guests will study the early and fine-fiber varieties of cotton grown in Uzbekistan for their further cultivation in Turkmenistan.

They will exchange experience in the field of horticulture and begin to cooperate in the field of potato seed production.

At the same time, Shukhrat Mamajonov, Director of the Center for the Development of Seed Production under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, acquainted the representatives of the delegation of Turkmenistan with the work carried out in the field of seed production in our country and spoke about the potential of high-yielding, early-ripening, high-fiber cotton varieties grown in the Bukhara region. These varieties were bred in the soil analysis laboratory established by Bukhara Agrocluster LLC.

In addition, the delegation visited a milk processing plant based on modern technological lines brought from Italy, where the products were demonstrated.

Representatives of the delegation also visited cotton and potato seed-growing, horticultural and cotton-textile clusters in the Bukhara, Surkhandarya, Samarkand and Tashkent regions of Uzbekistan.
