A road map has been approved to accelerate the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Hungary in October 2022. The document was approved by the khokim of the capital Jahongir Artykhodjaev.

The document envisages the construction of a separate industrial zone with the necessary infrastructure for Hungarian companies.

It is expected that by April the place for the industrial zone will be determined. A concept for the development of the industrial zone will also be developed.

During his visit to Hungary, the President of Uzbekistan met with the heads of companies and banks of Hungary. Then it was proposed to allocate a separate industrial zone exclusively for companies from Hungary, providing it with the entire necessary production infrastructure. Uzbekistan and Hungary also intend to launch a joint fund to finance priority projects.

As part of the technopark project, the issue of creating a joint production of medical equipment, electronics, components and spare parts will be worked out. A list of potential manufacturers from Hungary will be formed and they will visit Tashkent for negotiations.

Uzbekistan plans to supply Hungary with knitwear worth US$1 million, yarn for US$1 million, dried fruits and vegetables for US$3.1 million and polyethylene granules for US$3.1 million in 2023-2024.
