Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover with Turkmenistan in 2022 amounted to $926.3 million, an increase of 2.7 percent compared to the previous year, according to the report published by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan on Tuesday.

During the last year, Uzbekistan imported $731.5 million worth of Turkmen products, an increase of 3 percent compared to the 2021. At the same period, the country’s exports to Turkmenistan increased by 1.5 percent to $194.8 million. Turkmenistan is listed among the top ten trading partners of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan's total foreign trade turnover during 2022 amounted to over $50 billion, which, compared to the 2021, is an increase of more than $6.21 billion, or 18.6 percent.

Over the period, Uzbekistan traded the most with Russia – more than $9.27 billion, with its imports amounting to more than $6.21 billion, and exports – nearing $3.06 billion.

Other main partners of Uzbekistan by trade turnover during the period are China (more than $8.9 billion), Kazakhstan (nearly $4.6 billion), Turkey (more than $3.2 billion), Korea (more than $2.3 billion), Kyrgyzstan (1.26 billion), Germany ($1.15 million), Afghanistan ($759.9 million) and India ($690.5 million).

In 2021, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan amounted to $926.3 million.
