UzAuto Motors, the national automobile company of Uzbekistan, started mass production of Chevrolet Onix cars. The manufacturer is committed to domestically producing 70% of Chevrolet Onix auto parts by the end of the year.
1.5 thousand pieces of Chevrolet Onix cars are produced in 200 enterprises of Uzbekistan. According to the news agency UzDaily, $427.6 million was invested in the development of this project.
The engine, which is the most important part of the car, will also be produced in Uzbekistan. The Chevrolet Onix car features an innovative CSS Prime engine. The peculiarity of these engines is high performance, low fuel consumption and the presence of a turbine.
The realized projects will further develop the automobile industry of Uzbekistan and increase its production to 500 thousand units per year.
