Last week, Uzbekistan hosted a joint interregional forum with Azerbaijan, at which the parties discussed increasing the volume of bilateral trade turnover to $ 1 billion. This was reported to Central Asia.News by the press service of the Uzbek government.

In order to achieve such a level of trade and economic cooperation, the authorities of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan will make every effort to strengthen ties. Deliveries of demanded products to the markets of both countries will be increased, business missions will be conducted, and events will be organized at which entrepreneurs will be able to establish contacts.

At the forum, special attention was also paid to joint projects and interregional cooperation. The cities of Bukhara and Lankaran, Khiva and Shusha, Kokand and Sheki, Samarkand and Ganja established fraternal relations. The sides also signed a Roadmap for cooperation between Tashkent and Baku.
