President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the chairman of the Egyptian company "Orascom Investment Holding" Naguib Sawiris. A top manager of a leading investment and industrial corporation has arrived in Uzbekistan to discuss the development of cooperation between the two countries at the highest level. The company's plans for the implementation of major investment projects aimed at the development of food production, exploration and development of metal deposits, the creation and management of modern hotel complexes, the construction of solar and wind power plants issues were discussed at the meeting.
The cost of these projects exceeds $1.2 billion and their implementation is expected within the framework of a joint road map, which the parties plan to adopt in the near future.
