Negotiations with the Turkish company Birlik Shoes Sole took place in the association "Uzcharmsanoat". The agenda of the meeting included issues of expanding bilateral investment cooperation and opening a new joint venture with the participation of investments of Birlik Shoes Sole.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkish side was provided with detailed information about the conditions created for foreign investors in Uzbekistan, achievements in the leather and footwear industry, the investment environment and export volumes.
Birlik Shoes Sole stressed that the economy of Uzbekistan demonstrates stable growth rates, and stated that this increases the attractiveness for cooperation with enterprises of Uzbekistan, including in the leather and shoe industry. The company also made a number of proposals for establishing investment cooperation.
In particular, the Turkish company aims to launch a new joint venture for the production of women's and children's shoes together with Mexes LLC, located in the Karmaninsky district of Navoi region. At the initial stage of the project, it is planned to invest $ 1 million.
During the dialogue, practical aspects related to the expansion of cooperation and the launch of this project was discussed in detail.
