On June 15-16, 2023, consultations of the aviation administrations of Uzbekistan and Turkey were organized in Istanbul in order to further develop cooperation in civil aviation. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

The event addressed the issue of bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation and the prospects for its development. In particular, the issue of increasing the number of flights and opening new destinations was discussed.

During the negotiations, an agreement was reached to increase the number of weekly flights from 58 to 72. The parties also agreed to open new air routes.

In particular, the parties agreed that during 2023-2024, weekly air travel between Tashkent and Istanbul will increase from 38 to 50, and new destinations will also open.
