There are 296 oil and gas fields in Uzbekistan, the total volume of which reaches 1.85 trillion cubic meters of gas.
Half of this volume (933 billion cubic meters of gas) is concentrated in 122 fields owned by Uzbekneftegaz.
In particular:
- "Mubarak" has reserves in the amount of 305.3 billion cubic meters (33%);
- Ustyurt has 259.4 billion cubic meters of gas (28%);
- Shurtan has reserves in the amount of 174.8 billion cubic meters (19%);
- Gazli has reserves in the amount of 191.4 billion cubic meters of gas;
- Vodiy has gas reserves of 2.3 billion cubic meters.
In addition, prospects for the discovery of large gas reserves in the Ustyurt region of Karakalpakstan have been identified.
