Uzbekistan Temir Yollari, the Tourism Committee attached to the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change and Italian company Arsenale have signed a trilateral memorandum on the development and production of a luxury tourist train.

The document was signed during the 25th session of the UNWTO General Assembly in Samarkand, according to Gazeta.uz correspondent.

The parties expect the tourist train to be launched by the end of 2026, it will run along the Tashkent-Samarkand-Bukhara-Khiva route. The luxury train will consist of 13 cars with 38 compartments designed to serve 66 passengers. Representatives of the company emphasized that they will equip the train with modern conveniences, and the quality of services in the cars and interior design "will be Italian".

Deputy head of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari Hikmatulla Rakhmetov said that "the concept of launching railroad cruises as the future of tourism is perfectly in line with our desire for innovation and sustainable development".

The luxury train project, which aims to attract the attention of foreign travelers, will be implemented under the auspices of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade.
