The khokim of Syrdarya region, Akmaljon Makhmudaliev, met with the chairman of the board of the Turkish company Minessi, Yasin Kaplan, to discuss the implementation of a high-tech agricultural project.

The proposed complex includes four blocks, each of which is designed for growing different types of agricultural products, such as strawberries, vegetables, fruits, fruit tree seedlings, as well as flowers and flower seedlings. In each block it is planned to organize areas for processing, sorting and packaging of products. The total cost of the project is estimated at US$500 million. The enterprise will permanently employ up to 750 people.

The complex will use modern energy and water saving technologies, and will also receive electricity from photo panels and wind generators. In the future, it is planned to build a power plant with a capacity of 10 MW. Minessi intends to export the company’s products to Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The Uzbek side expressed full support for this project.
