On 3 May, the eleventh meeting of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz intergovernmental joint commission on the development of bilateral cooperation was held in Tashkent.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov took part in the meeting.
At the meeting chaired by the prime ministers of the two countries, it was noted that in recent years, multifaceted cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership relations between our countries, based on friendship and good neighborly ties, have been rapidly developing.
The heads of state set a task for their governments to increase the volume of mutual trade to $2 billion in the next few years. At the meeting, it was stated that there is huge untapped potential for the implementation of this task; for this it is necessary to closely cooperate in the production of export-oriented products that replace imports, and continue to jointly develop new projects. and expand business-to-business ties.
