Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vahabov is in the Republic of Turkey. During his stay in Ankara on May 8, Davron Vahabov met with chairman of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) Mustafa Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
At the meeting, the sides discussed issues of developing trade relations and expanding economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey, as well as the current state of multifaceted bilateral cooperation and prospects for its expansion.
The sides agreed to hold the Uzbek-Turkish Business Forum and the meeting of the Council of Entrepreneurs this year before the third meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council.
They also identified specific measures to implement projects in six important areas such as leather and footwear, furniture, construction, pharmaceutical, jewelry and glass production in which our countries cooperate.
At the end of the meeting, major Turkish companies were invited to participate in the international exhibition of leather, footwear, leather products, wool and fur "Uzcharmexpo-Eurasia 2024" to be held in Tashkent from May 21 to 23 this year.
