The statistics was given today by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon at the International Business Forum opened in Dushanbe.

According to the president, the raised funds, were allocated to the production of industrial products, to the construction sector, to the energy infrastructure and tourism.

Emomali Rakhmon said that the share of the private sector in the structure of GDP this year has reached 70%, which is 12% more than five years ago.

The head of state stressed that by attracting foreign direct investment, the share of the industrial sector in 2017 was 17%, while export of products of the industry, in particular cement, drywall, paint materials, ore, canned fruit and vegetables, cotton fabrics and carpets, increased significantly.

However,he noted that Tajikistan has a great potential for exporting final products, and efforts should be made to increase them.

According to the president, the ongoing reforms aimed at improving the investment climate have kept the macroeconomic indicators for 10 months of this year at a stable level: the real growth of the economy during this period averaged 7%.

The President noted that the relevant legislative acts had been amended, according to which 30 title of benefits and preferences were provided to investors and entrepreneurs.

He stressed that business entities should effectively use the preferences provided, while respecting the tax order.

He noted that, according to the results of inspections in 2017 and eight months of 2018 as a whole, tax evasion was revealed totaling 1 billion 240 million somoni, of which 900 million somoni were sent to the budget.

The President assigned to take effective measures to continue to eliminate such tax violations.
