China is ready to invest in the creation of large industrial enterprises in Tajikistan, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic reports.
Director of the Yunnan Province Development and Reform Company Yan Honbo met with the head of Tajikistan’s office Sharif Said in Dushanbe, on 31 October. Honbo said that we want to invest in Tajikistan and create large enterprises with a full cycle of advanced Chinese Technologies.
Honbo stressed that now Chinese companies are actively investing in Tajik tourism, the agro-industrial sector, hydropower, the production of steel products, tobacco, non-ferrous and ferrous metals. In total, China is participating in the realization of over 50 investment projects in the republic. There are about 70 enterprises with Chinese capital and more than 200 Chinese companies in the Tajik market. According to the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management at the Government of Tajikistan, over the past two years, China has invested over three billion dollars in the economy of the republic.
