Tajikistan’s gross national product has reached 44.8 billion somoni, or 4.6 billion USD, based on the data of 8 months- period in 2019.

According to data from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, GNP volume increased by 7.4% compared to last year’s indicators. When we divide the gross national product into share indicators: 13.3% of it is manufacturing, 8.3% is agriculture and animal husbandry, 8.5% is retail sales, 4.7% is freight transportation, and 8.3% is the service sector. Tajikistan announced its plans to become a developed country in terms of industry and agriculture in the next 10years period. As it was indicated in the national strategic development plan of the country, the Republic of Tajikistan aims to change from agricultural and industrial model to industrial and agricultural model until 2030.
