A new bus route connects Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
As claimed by the Uza.uz news site, a new bus service has started from Kokand, Uzbekistan, to Asht (Shaydon) of the Sogd region of Tajikistan since October 19. According to the information, ISUZU buses are used for the 84.5 kilometers route between the two cities. One-way ticket costs 23,000 Uzbekistani sum (US $ 2.5).
Up to the present, bus services have been organized between Tashkent-Khujand, Fergana-Khujand, Termez-Dushanbe, Denov-Dushanbe, Samarkand-Panjakent cities of the two countries.
