The member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization account for 69% of Tajikistan’s foreign trade volume.

The volume of trade between SCO countries increased in the first eight months of this year, according to the news website Ca-news.org.

According to statistics, total trade volume of SCO member states and Tajikistan is more than 1 billion 948.9 million US dollars in this period. More than 1 billion 657.7 million USD of this trade volume is imported from SCO member countries.

During this period, while the trade volume of SCO members Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and India increased, the volume of trade in China, Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan decreased. The main trade partners of Tajikistan in SCO are Russia, Kazakhstan, China and Uzbekistan, and total trade volume with these countries in this period reached approximately 1 billion 850.9 million US dollars. Indicators revealed that the volume of trade between Tajikistan and other SCO countries decreased during this period except for Uzbekistan and imports from SCO member countries to Tajikistan are dominant compared to exports.
