The international investment forum "Dushanbe-Invest-2021" was held in the capital of Tajikistan on October 14. About 400 foreign businessmen took part in the event.

Documents worth 5 billion somoni (about 441.5 million dollars) were signed between public sector entities, entrepreneurs and investors, the Khovar news agency reports.

The relevant agreements mostly relate to the creation of joint industrial enterprises. After the forum, 5 separate panels were organized. They discussed issues of industrialization, digitalization of transport, investment in energy, tourism, and export of Tajik products.

Meetings in the B2B format and the international exhibition "Tajikistan-2021" were also held on the sidelines of the congress.

Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali noted in a videoconference format that the forum is aimed at improving the investment climate in the republic, expanding cooperation with local and foreign businessmen and investors. He stressed that thanks to the efforts of President Emomali Rahmon, thousands of new jobs have already been created in the country.
